Contentful has announced the launch of an Australian subsidiary to expand operations across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The move is a response to increasing regional demand for enterprise-grade digital experience solutions and follows the company’s established presence of more than 100 local customers across the retail, travel, healthcare, and insurance sectors.

    Regional leadership appointment

To lead the expansion, Contentful has appointed Sam Hoare as Area Vice President, ANZ. Hoare brings 13 years of enterprise software experience to the role, having previously held senior leadership positions at Salesforce and Intercom. In this capacity, he will oversee regional strategy, customer engagement, and the growth of local partnerships.

“This milestone reflects our strong commitment to the Australian and New Zealand market,” said Hoare. “Organisations across the region are rethinking how they deliver digital experiences. They need flexible, enterprise-grade solutions that empower both technical and non-technical teams to move faster, innovate confidently, and drive measurable business outcomes. Contentful is uniquely positioned to support that transformation.”

Contentful already works with a growing list of more than 100 ANZ customers across a broad range of sectors including retail, travel, insurance and healthcare. The new Australian presence enables the company to deepen existing relationships and makes Contentful the vendor of choice for enterprises seeking a true local partner backed by a global leader.

“Retailers today need to move quickly across e-commerce, mobile, and emerging digital channels. Having a local Contentful team strengthens our ability to collaborate closely as we continue evolving our digital experience for customers,” said Paul Värk, Senior Manager, CX & Design at Chemist Warehouse.

Morgan Plumley, Platform Lead, Engagement Platform at MYOB said, “Contentful has given us the ability to maximise the potential of our content, and provide contextually relevant experiences to our customers. Apart from the great technology, results like this also rely heavily on the teams and the support they provide. So we’re really thrilled they are expanding their footprint here in Australia!”

Contentful’s Australian office provides a base for the company’s growing ANZ team, which continues to recruit across sales, customer success, and technical roles to meet increasing enterprise demand.

With its new ANZ hub, Contentful is accelerating its mission to help organisations move beyond legacy, monolithic systems and build flexible, future-fit digital experience platforms designed for the AI-driven era.
